![]() ![]() Therefore, a paraphrase is more of a commentary on the text of Scripture than it is an accurate rendering of what the text actually says. While a translation attempts to tell the reader what the original text says, a paraphrase attempts to tell the reader what the passage means. Titus 2:13 – “while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.Though many people think a paraphrase is the same thing as a translation, this is not the case. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” And you can’t take credit for this it is a gift from God. John 8:58 – “Jesus answered, ‘I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!’”Įphesians 2:8-9 – “God saved you by his grace when you believed. John 3:16 – “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. ![]() So the Word became human and made his home among us. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1,14 – “In the beginning the Word already existed. However, when it goes more toward dynamic equivalence and less toward formal equivalence, the NLT sometimes goes astray, interpreting rather than translating. It is written in quality and contemporary English. The New Living Translation is easy to read and easy to understand. The NLT follows a combination of formal equivalence (word-for-word) and dynamic equivalence (thought-for-thought) methods of translation. In the New Living Translation, this is accomplished by translating entire thoughts (rather than just words) into natural, everyday English. The challenge for the translators was to create a text that would make the same impact in the life of modern readers that the original text had for the original readers. The New Living Translation is based on the most recent scholarship in the theory of translation. Originally starting out as an effort to revise The Living Bible, a paraphrased version of the Bible, the project evolved into a new English translation from the best Hebrew and Greek texts. ![]() New Living Translation - Translation Method However, in July 2008, the NLT gained the #1 spot in unit sales, unseating the NIV for the first time in over two decades. For most of 20, the NLT has consistently averaged a 4th-spot ranking in Bible sales (based upon both unit sale and dollar sales) according to the Christian Booksellers Association. Another minor revision was completed in 2007 with minor textual and footnote changes. The second edition also brought a poetic format to many passages, especially that of the prophetic writing in the Old Testament. It reflects a translation style that is slightly less dynamic than the first edition in many places, yet it still retains natural contemporary English. Their goal was "to increase the level of precision without sacrificing the text’s easy-to-understand quality." The Second Edition of the NLT (also called the NLTse) was released in 2004. Soon after the publication of the first edition, the NLT Bible Translation Committee began a further review and revision of the translation. The New Living Translation was completed and published by Tyndale House in 1996. The goal of the New Living Translation (NLT) is a translation of the Bible into a clear, readable form of modern English. ![]() ![]() There are no quest flags changed from the time you complete the 3rd align quest up until you kill the DP. Generally speaking, don't try and go cheap with software licensing because it can come back and bite you later. however, if you know what you are looking for its pretty trivial to modify an Ascii file to change the software version compatibility from a student version to a full version with a consequence of errors and compatibility issues- while the software is 95+% identical to the full version various hotfixes and updates change the way the software works, operates, or reads files which may result in corruption. ![]() that said, its also more expensive to go this route since the shift over to the subscription model and they might not even honor this anymore since the subscription model shift. I've heard it is possible to legally sell student version assets within a year of their original production if you retroactively purchase a license and convert Ascii or Binary files to Complete/Ultimate files (though this is largely restricted In Maya unless you buy a tool to convert the files- I'm not sure they still provide it). you could obtain a licensee as an Alumni but it would be just as difficult because you'd have to enroll in a class you are auditing and outside of school you would be prohibited from using the software. From AutoDesk or a distributor you have to provide proof of enrollment this could be a student ID, Transcripts or tuition/loan paperwork. It is hypothetically possible to get a student license outside of school but it requires you to jump threw hoops to get it. to my knowledge this has never happened but its not beyond the scope of possibility. if a student store is selling student editions and giving out complete/ultimate then AutoDesk would step in to pull their rights. for private use (that is not sold/monetized) AutoDesk is pretty lenient on enforcing copyright/piracy (though I don't recommend it in anyway shape or form) they mainly investigate institutions like studios or campuses that might be violating their distribution licensees. Student versions do not contain watermarks only the PLE (Personal Learning Edition) versions do and they've been discontinued for years.Īutodesk can fine you for selling any assets produced with a student version but finding a host that will store and sell a Student Edition asset is rare (they tend to have software checks, even in zips) furthermore AutoDesk will terminate your license and can do so remotely. from the technical side the Student Version embeds the software version in every file saved (as all versions of maya do). The student version is a little bit more complicated than a licensing agreement on paper. ![]() ![]() ![]() Remember - if you get to Saturday afternoon and you sell at loss, it's better to do that than lose it all. ![]() Otherwise, the Turnips will rot, and your investment will be lost.
